Teenagers have a unique set of challenges and opportunities.
Between 12 and 16 years old is a great time to begin training. If you were fortunate enough to begin earlier, the lessons will start to make more sense. And, you’re able to handle the complexity of modern cutting edge techniques. We cover the same warm ups as the other classes, and allow 15 to 20 minutes of live work. When it’s time for the lesson, our priorities are still on providing a solid understanding of the fundamentals. But we also take the time to look at how those fundamentals are at work in modern Jiu Jitsu.
Teenage members of the gym can join the adult open mat also. We don’t have time to teach random kids. But if you’re a part of the team looking for a challenge, you will definitely find it here. Be warned, nobody is required to go easy on you.
You are going to see real results.
Forget about participation trophies. You will leave class every day just a little bit better than when you walked in. Regular people are allowed to build at their own pace. If you’re extremely competitive, we can help you find the right tournaments to test yourself.
